eloquentsolution got a reaction from 503loyaltoker in Asthma/bronchitis/copd / Cannabis
mom was able to eliminate three inhalers and a daily pill with the use of cannabis. mom mostly ingested, but when she would begin to wheeze, nothing like a couple vape hits to relax the bronchial passages. hard to believe, but true.

guess i'm a recovery gardener. i don't tend do do much preventative, save mites, unless i'm pretty damned sure i have a problem.

as far as testing, it has been awhile, couple years now. i did have a problem three years ago, that i suspected to be related to water source. by the time i got it figured out, i was back and running again.

i wentr through something quite similar. in the end, i used the hammer on the meter. the strips were equally difficult to work with. has someone found a brand of meter that really works?

i find ph management to be the most difficult because of measurement issues. good thing pdx ph is usually in a tolerable range....

i have read but cannot attest to organics being neutralizing. i have found them to be growth enhancing in every situation i have encountered. sure would like to hear comments on the subject of organics and ph. it would be in keeping with the topic.

It has been along time since I have posted, I think sometime around Mom's passing. I feel compelled to tell the story of Maggie's passing to her friends on the site.

March 15th, Wednesday morning was beautiful and sunny.  Maggie was begging for a walk as usual.  I put her off until a few necessary tasks were complete, then happily obliged her.  The prior night had been a hard one.  She cried and whimpered, getting up, going out and coming back in.  I feared this mornings walk would be her last.

She was slow; it took nearly 45 minutes to do a 15 minute walk, but she would not turn back. Each old marking drew her attention, the moving shadows her admiration and aromatics long interest.  It seemed she knew this was her last walk and she would savor its every moment.  She smiled through her grey muzzle.

When we came home she was happy to lie down in the living room while I conducted business, but soon she was in the front yard by the fense laying in the sun.  She did not move. When I concluded business, I went to her.  It was time.  I loaded her into my car and took her to the vet.  She passed gazing into my eyes while i petted her.

She lived a long happy life.  I will forever be grateful for the privilege of her companionship and I will miss her greatly.  She is going for walks with mom and dad now.  They loved her nearly as much as I......

    RIP

    ty, dudz.

for everyone's benefit, i cut and pasted to this thread too...

    Southpaww's soil mix:

    2 Bales Sunshine #4
2 Bags 100% Organic worm compost [Down to Earth]
3 Bags Worm Castings [wonder worm]
    4 Bags Monrovia compost

All these ingredients are hand screened into a Kiddy pool and thoroughly hand mixed.

    10 Lbs. Boi fish
12 Lbs. Bio live [2 boxes]
    6 Lbs. Fish bone meal
    6 Lbs. Bone meal
6 Lbs. Seabird Guano [Peruvian 10-10-2]
    6 Lbs. Kelp nmeal
    3 Lbs. Oyster shell
    3 Lbs. Alfalfa meal
3 Lbs. 100% Humate shale ore [granular]
    3 Lbs. Humic Acids [granular]
8 Oz. Pkg. Root Zone [beneficials]

These ingredients are tumbled in a drum until VERY well mixed.

Now the ingredients are screened into the mix and hand mix thoroughly. Water it with a molasses mix [4 gallons] let sit for a week.

Now the complete mix is rescreened to remove any clumps and make sure the mix is blended very well, now the mix will sit for at least a 3 more weeks.

After the mix has set for a month it is then tested.
    this batch is @ 6.1 Ph, & a PPM of 1150.

    Testing procedure:

1 hand full mix into a quart jar, add RO water, mix, let stand, strain and test the liquid.
This is where the soil starts at, now lettim GROW.

    Compost tea formula:

The compost tea brew is no secret it is a basic mix I think,
I start with a 55 gallon drum an air pump and 2 air stones.

in the drum pour the ingredients.
1 bag down to earth organic worm compost
    1 bag worm castings
    1 C can Kelp meal
    1 C canBone meal
    1 C can Oyster shell
    1 C can Bio live
    1 C can Bio fish
    1 cup molasses

after 24 hrs. you can foliar spray it after that it must be diluted 1:4 ratio as a foliar spray
I water 1 gallon every other watering of tea the rest is RO water.

    Flower tea formula:

    1/2 bag worm castings
    1 C can Kelp meal
1/2 box Bat Guano [1 with zero nitrogen]
    1 cup molasses

watering once a week for 6/7 weeks then just RO water till harvest.

I also found a better Guano [marine bird guano] it is finer and has almost no sediment left after the brew is done. the brand is Primal Harvest a natural bloom fert. 0-12-1, plus I add 2 cups bone meal [forgot it earlier].
figure a 5 gallon bucket with material and stones room for spillage you will only get maybe 3 gallons of tea, do the 35 gallon drum you have. and it will last for a long time with the air stones going,

my brewer is on the back patio and the temp go with mother nature.

spend the $$ get 1 with multiple ports and is rebuildable , mine is a General Hydroponics about $70.00

    PLUS I run RO water.

eloquentsolution got a reaction from EDDIEKIRK in curing your medicine
favorite cure is to take all fan leaves then pull plant roots and all.  clean dirt from roots and short soak (5 min) in boiling water.  then hang roots and all paying close attention to humidity heat and airflow as stated above.  hang for at least 5 days.

this method produces the smoothest smoke i have ever tried.  but do not believe me; give it a try and see.  take one really nice branch and cure your normal way, then the rest as described above.  you will be amazed.
