    Starting a small indoor grow.....

I don't know if this is helpful, perhaps you might give the grower a bit of 'beginner' help rather than admonish someone who seems to be trying?

Hey @Tentoes1962, did you get a chance to transplant those?
  5. @CANNACHRON CANNACHRON29 May 11:49 PM missed you guys in chat today! good news, I think my plan to make this grow season happen is coming together. Tomorrow I am gonna go buy clones. now, the one thing left to figure out... What kind of soil, and what, if any other supplies do I need. I know I will want a ph test kit. Ill neeed to think of a trelis type setup. I feel confident watering cannabis in pots. But is it a different technique when watering plants that are in the ground directly( these plants at lest 4 of them will be planted in tires, and im gonna dig into the ground a bit so the roots can grow where they want to.

Stubs O'KiefToday 8:58 PM if you can afford the soil, 30-40 gallon pots are nice for outdoor grows. If I were growing anything other than these super small early flower plants, they would be back in those 40 gallon pots or in a raised bed

I see no reason why you could not use tires, tumbleweedToday 7:24 PM use black/white panda over them, white side up, tuck under the outside edges to make sure it does not blow away, can have it go all the way up to the stem

I've dug in the ground around portland and its mostly clay. Let's say you planted your plants in a 35-gallon made of cloth, Your plants would make roots that penetrated your medium and breach the clothe pot and be in the ground, My answer would be to just set the plant container on the ground and let it do its thing. You can grow a plant right in the grow bag that the soil come in, just make a lot of hole on the bottom so it drains, I think the bags even have drain holes already in them when they are sold. Here I show some plants being grown this year. No you would not, The nutrients are in the soil (Medium)

I would suggest you use an all-around grow medium, Fox farm ocean forest or happy frog, Then add some perlite to make it go further, perlite https://www.horticulturesource.com/fresh/product/foxfarm-happy-frog-soil-conditioner-3-cu-ft/

    Starting a small indoor grow.....

You pretty much listed the only ways to tell that I know of. You can place the lights to 12 hours for a couple of days or so and force them to tell their sex, then put the lights back to where you had them to finish vegging.

My Pleasure I was concerned about that myself. Those cups will not support the plants for long. A one-gallon container should suffice for Vegging in the house, You can even flower them in one gal, if necessary. Use an aerated soil, one with lots of perlites added, this should enable your roots to grow more throughout the soil. It also helps make the soil go further.

Not too strong right now, They need to have just a slight breeze. otherwise, they could fall over. Just have your fan lightly moving them. Maybe to the side, not directly on them. soon though you can add more wind as they grow stronger. Its fun to grow. I know this is just experimental. They are looking really healthy right now. Ask me anything no matter what about growing these out. I'll keep it simple and cheap.

Do you have plans to transplant them soon? They are getting pretty big for those cups. Also, have a small fan blowing by them to help strengthen the stalks up. Are they going outside? Thanks for showing them to us.
