    JD, ES & Eddie

Thanks to you, Eddie, for making such important information available to the people and for helping people make connections. JD & ES...what can I say. You guys are one part Nikolai Tesla, one part Mother Teresa, and one part Monkey Wrench Gang. Two of the finest folks I have met in a loooooooong time. Really enjoyed discussing quantum mechanics, the medical system, and sushi with you two. You two radiate good vibes and genuine humanity as brightly as the sun shines. Thank you for your gift of companionship and camaraderie today.

Detox Your Liver with These Natural Herbs

Excellent! I am a firm believer in the power of the consistent use of herbs to maintain our bodies. I have been using Milk Thistle, Oat Straw & Flower, Nettles and Dandelion daily (consecutively, not concurrently) to boost my immunity and my body's ability to heal itself. There are many, many wonderful people out there who specialize in herbal usage and preparation who are willing to teach you and help you learn more about proper use, preparation and and identification of herbs. I meet with my community herbalist regularly to discuss my health and get ideas from her about what might be good for me. Those visits have been money that was more than well spent. Good health to you, Friends!!
  9. Hey there, Friends! Thought I might start trying to compile a more current list of high CBD strains for patents who are looking to grow or want to know what to look for before they go strain shopping. Cannatonic and Harlequin are fairly well-known, but I am certain there must be others. The lists I have found on the Net are fairly old. The CBD.org site is the best I've fond, but it's a bit clunky and doesn't seem to be updated regularly. I imagine that some of you are tied into what's going on in the world of MMJ breeding and could provide better and/or more up to date info. The more details you can provide about a strain, the better the list will be. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.

    For burns

Great info. I can totally attest to the darn near miraculous wound healing ability of collagen based products after using a collagen dressing to assist with a post radiation surgical incision that reopened and left a horrid hole in my leg that wouldn't heal. If you want to keep something handy and prefer something a little more sterile than eggs, you might consider EMT Spray or Gel products. I bought some last year through Cabela's. It's a product made for pets, but I know plenty of folks who stock it in their bug out bags and first aid kits. I prefer the Gel personally. I've also heard good things about Collasate products.
  11. I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to throw a few additional thoughts out there for potential growers to consider. 1) Make sure your electrical service is grounded. If it isn't, you have little in the way of protection available for your equipment or yourself. 2) Make sure your grow is properly grounded and bonded. Anything that is metal and could come into contact with line voltage power can become energized and deadly and you might not find out until it's too late. You need to make sure those metal objects have a path to ground other than your body. 3) On the subject of protecting yourself, PLEASE use GFI (ground fault interrupter) breakers or outlets if you have a concrete floor and/or any possibility of water and electricity meeting. 4) Be certain that you are not loading your panel inappropriately. Your home electrical panel may have specific instructions regarding the placement of types of breakers. Be sure you read and understand your panel schedule. 5) Keep a fire extinguisher handy. Make sure it is a Class C rated extinguisher that is rated to extinguish electrical fires. 6) Buy a copy of Ugly's Electrical References. It's cheap. It's simple. It has all of the info you'll need to figure power calcs, wire sizes, load capacity, etc. It's not as good as having a good electrician, but it's a heck of a lot better than searching the Net or asking your Uncle Bob who used to be an appliance repair guy. Ping me if you have other questions.
